Week 9 Term 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

Return to School Friday

It was fabulous to have all our children back at school last Friday. Each class began their day with a Check in Circle, to reconnect with their peers and as a class community. The teachers and children shared lots of stories, feelings and reflections during this session. The overwhelming feeling from the children was that they were so excited to be back at school with their friends and teachers. It was fantastic to see the children interacting and enjoying the company of their friends. The day continued on a positive note with our school's success with winners announcements of the Interrelate "Say No to Bullying - Say Yes to Respectful Relationships” poster competition.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS - “Say No To Bullying - Say Yes to Respectful Relationships” poster competition 

As you may have been aware, the Virtual Awards for the winner of the poster competition took place last Friday.  This competition had three categories:

1. National Winner Award
2. Major Finalists Top 40 in Australia Award
3. School with a 100% Participation Rate Award

I am pleased and proud to say we had three of our students in the Major Finalist Awards and each of them will receive a Faber Castell gift pack. We also where named out of over twenty schools across Australia as the winning School with 100% participation rate and we will win some great books for our library and a large Faber Castell hamper which will be well used in our Art Lessons. 

After the awards, we had a whole school assembly to acknowledge our finalists and all the St Fidelis students who did a marvelous job with their posters with messages that help foster respect and positive relationships in our school.  A huge thank you to Mr Frazzetto for coordinating and entering our students in this competition.

REMINDER: PARENT TEACHER CONVERSATIONS THIS THURSDAY

Due to the new COVID restrictions, parents are not permitted onsite; therefore, we are NOT able to have Face to Face Parent Teacher Conversations at school. Alternatively, they will take place online via googlemeets. 

School will be dismissed at 1:00pm this Thursday as planned to allow these interviews to occur.  Out of School Care will be available from 1:00pm. You will be required to book through Theircare if you require this service. 

Thank you for your flexibility once again as we continue to navigate the new normal.
