Welcome back to the final term of the year. Where does time go? We have an action packed final term and we still have a few events coming up in the last term and we still need volunteers to run the Mango drive, and also volunteers to help out with organising the Special Friends / Grandparents morning tea on Friday 28 October.
This just involves coordinating some food and sending out an invite. The food is usually donated by families by kids bringing in a plate on the day. Please contact us if you are happy to help out with one of these?
Stay tuned for the details of our end of year Parents Christmas party which will be on a Friday night around the start of December. We need volunteers to organise this as well and please contact us if you can help out.
It is also time to start thinking about volunteers for the next year.
The major events are allocated to year levels as follows:
· Mother's Day Lunch (Sat, 20/05/23) - Year 5 & 6 - Elwood Bathers booked
· Colour Run (Term 1/ Term 2) - Year 3 and 4 - Date will be booked in late OCT
· Parents Night Out (Term 3) - Year 1 & 2 - we have ideas for this
· Father's Day Breakfast (Term 3) - Prep
If you have children in multiple levels, we only ask that you help with one main event.
The other events for the year will continue to be organised based on an opt-in basis as listed below. While many events have a lead organiser, additional volunteers will be required. If you are willing and available, please let us know and we will send out a link next newsletter.

Easter Raffle - Easter
Hot Cross Bun Drive - Easter
Oaks Day - Thursday 9th November
Bunnings Sausage Sizzle - Date TBA depending on availability

GRANDPARENTS AND SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY - FRIDAY MORNING 28 OCTOBER
We will be having a grandparents and special friends day at the school on 28 October and more details will be forwarded in the near future.
OAKS DAY LUNCH - 3 November
The Oaks Day Lunch is now booked out.
If you are interested in backing a winner this Oakes Day with some of the St James Mum’s table at the Brighton Yacht Club Oaks Day Luncheon you can go on the waitlist for any cancellations as follows as this event is now booked out:
