Beachside Athletics Carnival

What an exciting Term 4 we have in store for Sport at St James! This was kicked off this week by 16 of our students competing at the Beachside Athletics Carnival. The weather was on our side and the atmosphere was happy and exciting. It has been 3 years since we have been able to hold this event. Thank-you to all students who competed and to those who were able to take time out of your day to take them to the event.

A huge well done to Alfie C who came second in both the 100 and 200m. He will now progress through to Regionals next Wednesday at Casey Fields. Good Luck Alfie!

Well done also to Lucy S, Jack H, James H, Will H, Grace D, Poppy B, Sienna G, Josh F, Noah S, Charlie P, Jackson C, Hugh H, Ethan C and Eddie S who competed in a range of events.

Hoop Time Regional Finals

St James has had two teams from the Year 3 and 4 cohorts make it through to the Regional Finals to be held this term! This shows how good the level of basketball is at our school and the commitment that our students and parents show to the sport. Our Future Stars will play next Thursday 20th October at MSAC against 7 other teams. Our All Star Girls will have their Regional finals on Monday 7th November at Waverley Stadium (please note change in venue). We wish both teams lots of luck and have fun!

A massive thank-you once again to our fabulous parents who are so supportive of all the sporting events at St James, especially Michelle T and David H who will be coaching the All Star Girls at their competition.

St James Swimming Program and Carnival

Swimming!!!! I love swimming, I am so excited that we are once again able to hold our swimming program and swimming carnival. Both will be held at Sandringham Leisure Centre from Monday 14th November until Thursday 24th November. An Operoo will be sent shortly with further details.

We will be requiring volunteers to help at our Swimming Carnival so if you would like to help out please ensure your WWCC (Working with Children Check) details are up to date.

Please update your information on the following WWCC Google Form  if you have renewed or attained your WWCC.

Tennis Trials

Tennis Trials will be held once the swimming program is finished beginning in the week of Monday 28th November. Students from current Year 4 and 5 levels who will remain at St James in 2023 and who can serve and score are encouraged to trial. If students cannot serve nor score on their own we are not allowed to enter them. St James can enter two girls and boys for the Holt District Tennis Tournament which will be held at St James in February 2023.
