Principal's Message

Things are really starting to ramp up with our Fun Fiesta and 50+1 celebration in just over a weeks time. We are so grateful to the many parents who have agreed to volunteer for the various class stalls and Parent Association BBQ on the day. If every parent provides just 30 minutes of their time to support the school on the day., we will be sure to have the best Fun Fiesta ever! Just remember.. every family that supports the school by adding their name to the volunteer list at the office or in class stall support roles on the day, will be acknowledged in the newsletter after the event. Your support is crucial to ensuring the success of our Fiesta.

This year we have some amazing rides and opportunities for students to share their talents to the broader community at our Fun Fiesta. We also have excellent prizes, a live auction, our choir performing, and so much more!

Of course, whilst all these preparations are underway, we are still working hard in classrooms on our curriculum focus, with Reading, Writing, Maths and Social learning personal goals developed by each student early this term as a focus for their current learning progress.

Additionally, our Wellbeing team has been working with all staff, students and community to develop our revised School Wide Positive Behaviour Matrix. This Matrix forms the basis of explicit teaching for students regarding whole school expectations for behaviour in all areas of the school, based on our core values; Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. Over coming months, this Matrix will be included into our Staff, student and volunteer/ visitor Code of Conduct, our Student Engagement, Inclusions and Wellbeing policy, our school website and other key policies and practices across the school. I encourage parents/carers to discuss and share the matrix at home so that the home school partnership and shared understanding of key behavioural expectations at ARPS in clearly understood by all.
