Fantastic French

Bonjour!

Foundation students have been learning a song about a "petit escargot".

They have illustrated the lyrics and sung it in French on Seesaw.

Did you know that "escargots à l'ail" are a delicacy in France? The snails are farmed just like other domestic animals and tourists go and visit the farms to taste and buy snail delicacies.

Of course it's not for everyone !

"Au jardin de ma grandmère" has been the focus for Grade 1 and 2 . It is a fun nonsense poem about meeting a "sorcière" that likes to eat "vers de terre". Students have been copying the French phrases and practising reading with accurate French pronunciation.

Exploring food expressions , Grade 3 and 4 have been creating their own bilingual book on phrases relating to talking about "La nourriture et les boissons".

"Il y a beaucoup des enfants qui n'aiment pas les pois , ni les choux de Bruxelles et ni les brocoli! C'est intéressant ne'est-ce pas?

Grade 5 and 6 have been working on French expressions related to numbers and time. They have used a song entitled "À quelle heure?" and Languagenut to complete an assignment on Seesaw based on daily timed activities.

Bon divertissement !
