A Message from Lisa ....

A Message from Harriet (Principal for the Day 31/5/19)

When I was Principal for a Day I went to Vera to tell her I was here, then I went to Lisa’s office. We made a special badge on the photocopier. I got to choose somebody from my class and they came with me to give out lily pads and Kefar tokens. I picked Eve. I gave lily pads for listening and sitting well. I gave Kefar tokens for working hard. I hung out in Lisa’s office and read my book in the egg chair. At snack time I ate in the staff room and I saw Alana. Lisa asked me to stick some earn and learn stickers on a sheet. I went into Prep T and Lauren and Ella read to me. They did a good job. I ate lunch with Lisa in her office. I also did yard duty. Ella from Prep and Eve and Georgia from my class came with me. I wore the special bright yellow yard duty vest. In the afternoon I delivered something to 3B. Two people came over who wanted to be Principal. Lisa helped me practice reading the certificates for assembly. I went to the gym to help the School Captains set up for assembly. When I came back Lisa was coming out of her office and we went back to the gym. At assembly I read out all the awards and the very last one of running club was for me! I enjoyed giving out my friend’s awards. It takes a long time to save up 100 Kefar tokens, but I think people should try because it is really fun and exciting to be the Principal. Next, I am going to save up 75 Kefar tokens to have lunch with a teacher again.

Staff Absences Term 3

Next term Rochelle will be completing a placement at another school as part of her Principal preparation program. She will spend this time shadowing another Primary School Principal to gain further insights into the role. This placement will be for the first 6 weeks of Term 3. We wish Rochelle all the best during this exciting opportunity.

Jenny is taking a well-earned break and will be absent for the whole of Term 3. Please remember to contact the school via our school email (altona.green.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au) if you normally contact Jenny directly via email. We look forward to hearing all about her adventures.
