Some extraordinary Writing....

Often, the students at Ormond Primary School, showcase their talents and skills in our classroom learning sessions, and here is one example by Grace S in Year 3. This introduction to a recount, was written on Monday morning and read to an unsuspecting audience; her teacher and classmates. It’s imagery and beauty were something we just weren't ready for.

A Massive Marathon, by Grace S

It was about 6:00am and I was being entertained by the sunrise. I was sitting in a feathery couch accompanied by the warmth of the sun, the living room table and a TV. I was at my Grandma’s place in the living room on a couch watching the sun being pushed up from the cold, green, wet grass and hearing the birds talking to each other in a little bird pond. I unravelled the fluffy, grey blanket and pushed my feet into the soft, red carpet and stepped alongside the buildings with the sun following me…..

Congratulations Grace on an extraordinary piece of writing.
