Tamworth Mini Trots

Cooper James (4Q), who is a member of Tamworth Mini Trots, took part in the State Championships and had a great time helping Tamworth trainer Sarah Rushbrook show off her stable. Cooper handled Jackeroo Shannon in the Harness Class and judging by the smile on his face, he enjoyed collecting ribbons.

Cooper was competing in his first Standard Breed Pleasure & Performance Horses Association Championships. He competed in lead classes as well as the harness class.  He came home with 2 first place ribbons, one 3rd place and 2 encouragement awards.  He is part of the Tamworth Mini Trotting Club and it was his first time in the gig on a big horse.   Cooper also picked up second prize in the best dressed contest.

There was plenty of praise for Cooper's ability and harness racing is certainly in his genes. His father, Brendan, is a trainer and driver at Tamworth, and his grandfather, Rod, is a trainer and driver at Newcastle. His great grandfather, Laurie James, was a secretary of Tamworth harness racing.

Well done Cooper!!

Cross Country

Our Annual School Cross Country has been postponed until,  hopefully a date in early Term 2. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

This includes any training sessions held at school.

Diocesan/Polding Sports

Announcement: Armidale Diocesan Primary Sport 

Monday 16th March, 2020

I wish to advise that all upcoming Armidale Diocesan Primary Sporting events for Term 1 will be temporarily ceased until further notice. This decision has not come lightly but it is our aim to limit the impact of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has on our schools.

I am sure you can all agree that our students' health is our priority. These measures are precautionary and designed to reduce exposure via non-essential gatherings.

It is with much regret that we announce the temporary ceasement of the following sporting events that will affect our Primary School students: 

ADPSC Winter Trials - 20th March, 2020

NSWCPS Swimming - 25th March, 2020

Polding AFL Trials - 27th March, 2020

ADPSC Touch Football Trials - 3rd April, 2020

NSWPSSA Swimming - 6th April, 2020

Further information will be provided in regards to possible rescheduled dates and refunds if events are cancelled.
