Night of the Literary Luminaries 2019

Night of the Literary Luminaries

On Thursday 25th July over 500 parents, grandparents, siblings and friends came along to support our Year 7's for their Night of the Literary Luminaries. The students have been preparing their speeches, costumes, questions and displays for some time, and their audiences showed their appreciation on the night.

Well done to all Year 7 students who put in a lot of time and effort, presenting their persuasive speeches as either an author or character important to literature. We had a huge range of literary figures, from Dr Seuss to Agatha Christie, from Greg Heffley (from the ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ series) to  Winnie the Pooh.

Thank you to all who supported their Year 7s throughout this unit. Thank you to all those who attended and applauded, questioned and perused while visiting the displays.

Debating News

The Year 8 boys have made it through to the next round / finals of the Junior Equal Opportunity Sports day where boys from a number of different schools in the south east played netball. They boys faced a tough draw, but pulled together and won the day.

8 students are off on Monday 12th Aug for the finals. We wish them luck!
