Learning Remotely

Some Year 7 Science students at McGuire were able to complete a bonus activity making honeycomb, as part of our topic on Mixtures.

This remote learning experiment required the permission and supervision of an adult and was a lot of fun, with just a small amount of danger! Some people have even used chocolate and Nutella on theirs! Science is fun and tasty!

Instrumental Music lessons continue online for many of our GSSC students during the remote learning period.

Learning a new instrument - Brandon Styles, Year 8 at the McGuire Campus, plays tenor saxophone, but has also taken up learning clarinet and has been taking lesson online with Ms Ryan. Great learning Brandon!

Harmony over the air waves - Juliana Safari and Jofet Etaka, both in Year 8, also have continued to enjoy their shared clarinet lesson with Ms Ryan during remote learning.

The girls learn with great co-operation and have learned to play new music over this time playing both in unison and harmony over the air waves! Well done, Jofet and Juliana!
