From the Principal

Benvenuto - Welcome
Week 1, Term 4 and there was a glimmer of life in the new COVID normal as we saw the return of our School of Wonder children. What a buzz there was in the college yesterday as our Foundation and Year 1 children returned; not even the wet weather could dampen the spirits of all. We eagerly await the return of the rest of our students to the college on Monday.
Whilst we return to onsite learning, it is important to remember that we still have restrictions in place in terms of people entering the college site. This has to be managed in accordance with the Schools Operating Guide from the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria (CECV). To that point we will continue to use the drive-through drop-off and pick-up area and we remind parents who come to collect their children from the bridge that this should be a quick pick-up and return to your vehicles.
We continue to plan for 2021 and in my last letter to the community I introduced the new Learning Mentors who have been appointed. We are now in the process of planning for expressions of interest for Learning Support Officers and administration positions within the college. These will be advertised shortly.
I would remind you that St Mel’s Parish is still offering Mass online each Sunday. The link is available on the Parish News page in each edition of il giornale if you would like to participate. You can contact the parish house for further information: sheppartonsouth@cdos.org.au
The weather appears to be on the improve over the weekend, so hopefully you have an opportunity to get out and about with your family. Have a great weekend.

Principal
