What's Happening
Celebrating 100 Days Of School - Room 9
Assembly Year 2 - Room 9
The Year 2's in Room 9 have been learning to read and create rhyming verse this term. Our assembly item consisted of two performances based on the Book Week theme of Curious Creatures and Wild Minds. We sang ‘Ning Nang Nong’ by Spike Milligan and read out our favourite parts from Dr Seuss’s book, ‘I Can Read With My Eyes Shut’.
Disco Fundraiser
On Friday 21 August, the year six parents held a White Gum Valley Disco to help raise funds for the year six camp. The disco was held at Sullivan Hall with the junior disco held from 4:00 to 5:30 and the senior disco held from 5:30 to 7:00pm.
At the disco, the year six students were running some stalls to raise money. Overall, the disco was a big success and everyone enjoyed themselves and had a great night. Thank you to everyone that helped raise money for the year six camp!

Attendance Matters
Punctuality
Being at school on time is really important. School starts at 8.50. Learning starts form this moment. Every minute really does count.
Please look at the attached graphic, which tells you how much time of learning is lost during a school year if a student is just 5 minutes late a day.
Congratulations to Room 8 who won the Class Attendance award and Ashley in Year 2 who won the individual award raffle for 100% attendance since week 4.
