Remote Learning Term 4 (Years 8-10)

Welcome back to Term 4! We hope that the holidays were a safe and relaxing time for students and families.

At the end of Term 3 the College communicated changes to remote learning for Term 4. These changes were made after feedback from families.  This term in remote learning, Year 8-10 students will be given a week to complete their learning interactions for all subjects. Students need to submit this work on time, by the due date, for their attendance to be marked as present. This is an important part in returning to following the school timetable and structures as we also prepare to return to face to face learning in Term 4.

The College has a number of ways that students can engage with their learning to complete their learning interactions such as google meets with teachers, commenting and asking questions on google classroom, gmail communication for direct contact with teachers and feedback around student learning. We encourage students to continue to engage with these aspects and seek support when they need it.

To support students in their learning parents/guardians are able to sign up to receive a weekly guardian email. This email will give you an update on learning interactions that are overdue and any announcements made by teachers. If you would like to sign up to receive these emails please follow this link http://www.staughtoncollege.vic.edu.au/guardian-summaries/ and submit your details.

It is also important to note that student reporting will be based primarily on the learning students have shown in their learning interactions.

We thank you again for you continued support and engagement in your child’s learning.
