Celebrating Two Weeks of Achievement and Festivity at Mitcham Primary School!

We're thrilled to share the joy and accomplishments of the past fortnight as our students embraced learning, teamwork, and creativity. It's been a brilliant two weeks filled with achievements and celebrations that truly highlight the spirit of our school.

Our youngest learners, the Preps, commemorated a significant milestone by celebrating 100 days of school. Their infectious enthusiasm and boundless energy reminded us all of the magic of early education. We applaud their growth and look forward to nurturing their curiosity in the days ahead.

The Grade 2 students showcased their athletic prowess during the much-anticipated Hooptime event. The basketball court echoed with cheers and determination as our young athletes displayed their teamwork and sportsmanship. The event not only fostered healthy competition but also highlighted the importance of staying active and working together.

Science Week took centre stage as our school turned into a hub of scientific exploration and innovation. Students engaged in hands-on experiments, captivating demonstrations, and interactive workshops, fostering a love for science that will undoubtedly stay with them for years to come. The Science Week Celebration Day was a testament to our commitment to nurturing young minds to become tomorrow's innovators. I would like to extend a huge thank you to our STEM teacher Lauren Lamont for her brilliant organisation and to the parents that volunteered their time and expertise on the day.

One of the highlights of the past two weeks was our Fathering Project 'Rocket and Roll' night. Dads, uncles, grandfathers, and father figures joined their children for an evening of laughter, bonding, and creativity. Together, they designed, built, and launched rockets into the night sky, symbolizing the heights of learning and connection that can be achieved when families and schools collaborate.

These two weeks encapsulated the essence of Mitcham Primary School – a place where learning is not only valued but celebrated. We're incredibly proud of our students' achievements and thankful to our teachers, staff, and parents for their continuous support.

As we move forward, let's carry the spirit of achievement and celebration with us, reminding ourselves that every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a positive impact.

Please remember that we are hosting our 3-Way conferences on Monday and that this is not a regular school day, students are only required to attend for their conference.

Have a lovely weekend!
