North West Tour Photo Books

We are finalising the photo book ready for a print order to be placed. A reminder that we ask families of students who attended the camp, to 'opt-out' if you do not wish to receive a copy which will be added to the overall cost of the camp. Estimates are between $35 and $45 per copy.

College Ball

College Ball ticket pre-orders have now closed, and we are so excited with the numbers of students and guests that are attending our "Glow Up" Ball on Saturday, 2 September 2023 at the Parmelia Hilton. Tickets can be paid for by calling Administration and paying over the phone or by direct debit to the College account with "Ball Tickets" in the descriptor. Please remember that photos prior to the Ball up at Kings Park are not organised by the College and it is up to parents and students to decide where or if they will take place.

The evening begins with mocktails in the foyer upstairs at 6pm with doors opening to the Ballroom at 6.30pm. The event finishes at 10:00pm sharp and an email questionnaire will be sent out to all parents this week asking how their child (and partner) will be leaving the Ball. Parents and Guardians for the night must collect their child (and partner) from the foyer area upstairs. The other option is Uber or taxi and both options will be on the questionnaire. Students will not be released without the written responses from parents on record. Please be aware that parking is very limited around the Parmelia, however the Convention Centre is just up the road.

Suit Hire

This Saturday, male students are invited to Ferrari Suits in Cannington (Albany Hwy Cannington) from 11:00am to get fitted for suits. A coach will be taking students from here followed by a visit to Carousel shopping centre afterwards.

The hire costs are:

$189 (including suit, shirt and tie) this also includes alterations to pants and jacket if required.  Shoes are available for purchase only at the price of $59.95 and students will pay and collect shoes on the day.  Full payment is to be made on the day directly to Ferrari Cannington and will not be added to your College Account.

This arrangement is with Ferrari Cannington only.  Suits will be dropped off to the College the week prior to the ball for the students to take home. We ask that all suits are brought back to the College hung in original bags and in good order by Monday, 4 September 2023. They will be picked up by Ferrari Tuesday or Wednesday of that week. All late returns will need to be posted back to the shop by parents.

Please let us know if you will be dropping your son at the shop or if they will be attending the fitting with us asap (Via phone to Residential Office) as Ferrari will have extra staff on that day dependent on numbers.

Students who are unwell

Typically, Term 3 July, August and September are the months when cold and flu really hits schools and boarding, and we are no different. I understand it is a parenting dilemma. Finding the balance between building resilience and staying at school (and in the future work) versus a student taking time off school.  As a parent and Head of Boarding I am with you "the struggle is real" However, please be assured that we will work closely with you to ensure only those students that really need to go home do. If your child is unwell please let them get over the worse of the symptoms so they do not pass it onto other students before returning to school and boarding.

Boarding Life

There is a wonderful feeling in boarding at the moment. Year 12s focusing on their studies and completing their remaining projects, Year 11s cementing friendships and so much to look forward to Dowerin Field Days, The Ball, our Open Day, Sports finals, Special Dinners and of course the beautiful yellow and green of our surrounding fields.

Loving life.
