Inclusion is at the centre of people feeling welcome and valued at the College. Staff do an amazing job of going the extra mile for student projects and experiences and Student Services and Residential strive to provide support and opportunities for all students regardless of their challenges.

It is equally important for students to value each other’s differences to allow themselves freedom of individual expression. Bullying because someone is different denies the opportunity to learn from them and can have severe effects on mental health.

Where we can identify the things that bring us together, where we can include more people, when we get an opportunity to value difference, we become a stronger happier place.

Some people fear difference, its potential unpredictability, and cannot conceive that doing something differently might be ok too. Tolerance is a great start, embracing curiosity and valuing the chance to learn about difference signals that you value and welcome the opportunity.

Stay safe.
