World Skills National Championships

Wishing Year 12 students, Zarah Squiers and Kallen Marwick all the very best as they set off to participate in the National Championships next week!

Zarah and Kallen will be teaming up with Harvey Ag and competing in the VETiS Primary Industries category.  Good luck!

North West Tour Success

I was fortunate enough to go along on this year’s North West Tour – and what a phenomenal trip it was! By and large, our students were fantastic ambassadors for both the College and themselves. It was a privilege to observe the students work together, interact with each other, pitch in and help out, challenge themselves and most importantly, have fun. To say it was a trip of a lifetime for some is an understatement. A huge thank you to the staff who attended the camp and organised the itinerary.

Training Awards

It is with great pride that I announce that we have once again been nominated as a finalist for the 2023 WA DTWD Training Awards, 'Small Training Provider of the Year' category.

This is a reflection of the variety and quality of training programs on offer here at the College, and the ongoing achievements and success of our students. We will be attending the awards ceremony on 14 September. Wish us luck!

2023 - 2025 Farm Strategic Plan

It is with great pleasure that I present to you our Farm Strategic Plan for the next 3 years. This plan has been developed in conjunction with our Agricultural Advisory Committee, facilitated by an external consultant. This plan outlines our strategic direction with relation to our farm enterprise and training programs.

The Strategic Plan flows directly into our individual Enterprise Operational Plans within the farm program, with all stakeholders working towards achieving our strategic objectives.

Parent Surveys

Last week, all parents were emailed a web link and code to complete our annual National Schools Opinion Survey. This feedback assists us to continue to build on and improve our College programs and services. If you have any issues with accessing the survey, please contact the front office to assist.

2024 Student Council Elections

This year we have updated our Student Council nomination and election processes. Details of the updated processes were shared with students today and are available within this edition of the Chatter.

In closing, it is great seeing our Year 12s making the most of their remaining weeks here at the College. Keep up the great work, make sure you track your progress and what you have left still to complete, and reach out for support when and where needed.
