Dear Families, 

Thank you so much to our P&F group who so generously gave of their time and talent to organise and run our P&F Bunnings BBQ on Saturday! It was a great turn out by families and friends  and your support is truly appreciated! 

Nearly $3000  profit was raised across the busy day! It was a great atmosphere with students and families able to catch up and socialise with one another. My thanks in particularly to the parents who organised the fundraiser and worked the stall. A big shout out to Sam Yap, our coordinator and the hard working team which included Ralfy, Lauren, Francine, George, Jason, Vicky, Teena, Gale, Renee, Maria, Dishan, Steve, Vianna, John and Nicola! 

Year 4 Camp - Sovereign Hill

 This morning our very excited  Year 4 students headed away to Sovereign Hill and will return on Friday afternoon!  It promises to be a wonderful opportunity full of fun and learning.    I thank the staff who are joining the Year 4 students across these days;  Caitlin Cellini, Nicole O'Halloran, Rebecca Neofit, Leah Whiting, Jenny Willmott, Jonathan Rooney and Rachael Gregory.  Nick Hoare will be at camp today and return Thursday evening.  I will be visiting the camp on Thursday.

The Year 3 students will be taught by Nicole Glancy, Liz Jackson and Paula Warden across these days. 

 

St John Vianney's Feast Day  Celebrations

This Friday 4th August is our Patron Saint  Feast' Day. To celebrate the important event, on Monday, the students  participated in an  assembly and later in a fun filled Tabloid Sports event conducted by KABOOM!  The day was a  thoroughly enjoyed by all! On Friday at 9am our 1-2 SM class will lead our School  Feast Day Mass! All are welcome! 1-2 SM   parents are asked to bring a plate for our Morning Tea straight after the Mass. Please include the ingredients if home made or include packaging if  item is purchased.

No nuts including cooking oil, or fresh cream.  

Swimming Program Years 1-6

The Swimming Program for years 1-6 will begin next Monday 7th August and will continue for two weeks. NO SWIMMING on a Tuesday. 

Please note the venue this year is Haileybury College Springvale Road Keysborough.  Please complete the Operoo forms. 

 

Our Foundation students will participate in the Swimming Program in November! 

About Real Life. Sexuality Education Program 

Thank you to the parents who were able to join the online information webinar held last evening facilitated by Sue Pain from  ‘About Real Life’.

 

On August 16th and 23rd  the school will be hosting  two sexuality education evening sessions for families (adult & child) facilitated by Sue Pain.   These sessions will include facilitated discussions between parents/carers and their children about life, bodies, safety & relationships.  The sessions run for about 60 minutes.  The sessions days and times will be as follows:

 

Wednesday16th August: 

Year 5/6 at 7 - 8pm

 

Wednesday 23rd August:

Foundation  & Year 1/2  at  6 - 7pm.  

Year 3/4  at 7:15pm - 8:15pm

MS Readathon

As a part of our commitment to social justice issues the Mini Vinnies will be coordinating the MS Readathon over the month of August. If wish to take part, you will receive log-in details from your child's class teacher.   Please support your child in this important endeavor.
