8&Under Thunder

With their 2nd game together as new teammates their confidence grew with an exciting 19-6 win. Strong defence, sharing of the ball and good passes led to a strong team win.  Well done Tyson with a huge 14 points and Austin with 5.

Year 2/3 GS Rockets

The GS Rockets defeated Prescott Blue 32-8 Wednesday afternoon.  Elijah and Hunter both had high scoring games and also assisted their fellow teammates to score baskets.  Elijah also performed a couple fantastic blocks to prevent the opposition from scoring.  Kia displayed some good dribbling skills and William performed well under the basket.

Scorers: Elijah & Hunter (12 pts each), Patrick (4 pts), Layla & William (2 pts each)

Year 4/5 Raptors

The GS Raptors moved up to the Yr 5/6 competition this season and had to face last season’s Grand Final winners (GGLPS Shining Stars) in their first game. The Raptors went down 24-41.  Despite the loss, the Raptors proved to be competitive against the benchmark team and closed the gap to just 6 points during the second half.  With only 6 players available, the Raptors eventually ran out of legs in what was a fast paced match.  It was great to see the team challenged and put up a strong fight against a very skillful opposition.

Scorers: Jayden & Oscar (10 pts each), Ronan & Heath (2 pts each)

Year 4/5 Warriors

First game back from the break and we welcome Shayla to the team with some good defence, providing space for the team. We had the speed and the rebounds but couldn’t quite get the win with a couple players out. Good team effort Warriors.

Scorers: Jake 13, Eden 3, Tennyson 1.

GS Little Jordans

First game for the GS Little Jordans today and we came out confident. We have some fast players in our team. We didn’t win this game, however, we never gave up. Star player was Phoenix and Archie. Phoenix is a little rocket, fast on his feet and great at defending. Archie was defending well by putting his hands in the air. All players played well as a team and passed the ball around. Great game to watch.
