Vacation Care September Program

We have made some changes to the Vacation Care program for September Holidays and have been working hard to offer a great program that we feel the children will love.

Program will be run in the School Gym

We will be using the Gym for the September program as we feel this gives us more space for the children to move around and for us to set up better activities for the longer days.

This also means we can use the lovely new Oval for a great indoor/outdoor program.

Please bring your children to the gym each day to sign them in and out.

Grade 4 – 6 program

We have made the decision to provide a split program when we are at school with the Grade 4 to 6 children having separate activities that are more challenging and designed on their feedback from the last program. They will also be given more flexible routines to allow them to continue with activities over the whole day or several days.

No Excursions

We are not providing excursions these holidays due to concerns we have been unable to provide enough places for families that need care for their work needs.

Last holidays we had up to 20 children on waiting lists for some day’s, particularly excursion days.

We are also having some staffing issues as our team is mostly university students and they are still at Uni for the entire holiday’s period. This just effects these holidays and for safety of the children, we have made the decision to stay at school.

Please have a look at the program attached. We would love to hear your feedback and any feedback from your children.

Bookings open Permanent OSHC Families Monday 28th August and School Families Monday 4th September.

Please don’t send them before these dates as we will not be able to accept them.

OSHC After School Care Menu

We have been working on our menu and have set up a Winter (Term 2 & 3) and Summer (Term 1 & 4) Menu that is different each day.

We are proud of the food we provide and working on healthy items that the children love.

We provide fresh fruit every day and provide alternatives to support food allergies and requirements. If we are providing a meat item, we will have a chicken alternative or vegie substitute where possible. If this is not possible, we will provide another appropriate option so the children don’t feel they are being left out.

Please see attached the menu we have planned. If you have any questions please let us know.

Curriculum Day and Parent Teacher Interview early Finish

We have a few places still left for both the Curriculum Day and the Parent Teacher Interview sessions.

Please contact us if you need any of these sessions.

Changes to CCS payments from 10th July

Child Care Subsidy is changing from July

From 10 July, there are changes to the way Services Australia works out your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlement. This means your family’s CCS may increase.

If you already get CCS, you don’t need to do anything to get the increased rate. Services Australia will apply these changes for you from 10 July 2023.

You can use the Child Care Subsidy Calculator at StartingBlocks.gov.au to see what your CCS may be and how much you may pay for child care.
