Tristan Boissezon (Year 10)
Earlier this year, Tristan Boissezon (Year 10) had achieved the honour of being named the Victorian Junior Pétanque champion for 2023. He has recently been named in the Victorian Men’s State team which will compete in September in the National Championships, to be held in Newcastle, and will also represent the Junior Australian team in November, in Thailand.
Pétanque, for those who may be unfamiliar with the sport, is a cross between lawn bowls and bocce and was developed in France in the early 1900s.
Tristan’s Pétanque journey began at the young age of 7 years old when he accompanied his grandfather to the Pétanque club on a weekly basis. Tristan has progressed significantly in the game and has climbed up the ranks in Victoria. He is well known on the circuit by all who play both in Victoria and interstate.
Congratulations, Tristan!
