Chess has always attracted enthusiastic competition at Mazenod. Fr Moroney introduced chess as a priority activity from the commencement of the College recognising its value in building both personal and academic skills.

Also pictured is the recent Mazenod Open Chess Championship which attracted approximately 60 students pitching strategies against each other for a win.
