Musical Notes

Term 3 is well and truly underway!! A huge thank you to everyone involved with our musical Freaky Friday.  The students enjoyed the experience.  Our Director and Producer are currently looking at titles for 2024.

This Saturday will see approximately 61 of our students competing in the Victorian Bands League (VBL) solos.  Preparations are also underway for our upcoming Winter Recital Series and our Music Gala.  

It would be helpful if students could get to all scheduled rehearsals to prepare parts for all events.  Please take the time to check the music calendar and the relevant instrumental timetable. 

Finally, to assist our music staff preparing for our ensembles, please help your son to be at school in time for a 7.45am start.  We need to have productive rehearsals!

We have added some new ensembles to our timetable. 

Junior Strings: All Year 7 Classroom Music string students – Monday mornings 7:45am

Double Bass Workshop: Monday lunchtime

Junior Flute Ensemble: Thursday mornings 7:45am

Senior Flute Ensemble: Thursday lunchtime

Term 3 timetables have been uploaded to MazCom.  As we continue in the new semester, the possibility of changes to timetabling is highly probable.  Please make sure your son checks MazCom on a regular basis so that they are following the most recent timetable.
