Wild at Art Competition

Wow! A big THANK YOU to all the amazing artists who have entered our ASPS Wild at Art competition. I’m sure you can agree that the artworks look outstanding. It has been inspiring to see the deep care and concern that these young artists have for our vanishing wild life. These beautiful pieces will be on display in our main building foyer until Wednesday 30th August so please come on in to admire them. The winners for each category (prep, 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6) will be announced on Wednesday 30th August. It is certainly going to be hard to choose.

Green Team - Biodiversity

Green Team planted some seeds marigold and warrigal green seeds.

We reused items to plant them into cardboard tubes, 'single-use' ice-cream cups and coffee cups, aluminium cans and mushrooms plastic trays.

Green Team meetings are on Tuesday lunch times in 5B's classrom - everyone is welcome to join us!

Zero Waste Festival

Sat Sept 2, Fed Sq, 10am-7pm, FREE

More than an event, the Zero Waste Festival is a catalyst for community connection. Join us with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and network to foster connections that extend beyond the festival’s boundaries. This festival will showcase the very best in zero waste practices, products, and ideas that are revolutionising our approach to sustainable living.

Bring along your quality, unwanted clothes for a Clothes Swap, and the Repair Café will be on hand to fix your broken items. The Mending Circle will teach you how to ‘Stitch it, Don’t Ditch it’ and activities such as DIY celebration cards and stitching indoor footballs will inspire the kids to get creative with recycled and reused materials.
