Principal's Report

Principal's Report:

Four weeks of term have gone already. It feels like we only returned from holidays a couple of days ago.

Once again, it has been a very busy few weeks here at school with all of the usual school activities taking place, alongside the extra curricula, and whole school events.

Highlights have been the Athletics sports and the tours for prospective Year 7 students for 2019. The aths sports were highly competitive and colourful. The final result is yet to be determined as the throwing events will be taking place in the next few weeks. The house that is currently leading, could yet be overtaken by both of the other houses.  It will depend on the majority of the results of the throwing events, falling their way.

The information evening for Prospective students was a great success with many families attending. The prospective students and their parents were introduced to most of our junior school personnel, given information by teachers and students and the evening finished with a tour of the school. Many returned the following week to take a tour of the school while it was in operation. Thanks to Mrs Cornelius who coordinated the evening and to the dedicated teachers who supported her to make the evening such a great success.

Our Cross Country is being held next week (postponed from this week after the only rain in months) and the Winter sports carnivals will shortly take place. I encourage all students to get involved in these events.

Earlier today we held our second student led Whole School assembly which showcased the talents of our students.

Until next time.
