What a week! The Grade 3 students and teachers had a fantastic few days away at our school camp in Week 5. We were extremely proud of the Grade 3s for showing our school values while away on their very first camp and being resilient, kind, brave and adventurous campers! The students overcame their fears, developed their social skills, confidence and team work skills by participating in all activities including: rock climbing, abseiling, the possum glider, the flying fox, aeroball, wilderness skills, teambuilding games and a challenging low ropes course. We are sure the kids came back home with lots of stories. There are now some great photos and videos up on Seesaw (no signal out there, the beauty of being in nature!!).
Meet and Greet Day
Thank you to all the Grade 2/3 parents and caregivers for attending our Meet and Greet Day yesterday. It was wonderful to see so many parents there to discuss how their child is settling into the new school year and to present some of the learning we have been doing in class. We sent home the student login details for three educational apps/websites that we will be regularly using this year: Bug Club, Typing Club and Study Ladder. Please ensure that you keep these in a safe place and assist your child during their first log in. Devices must be brought to school each day. Please ensure they are clearly labelled with your child's name and any login passwords. Bug Club is the program that all Grade 2/3 students will be using for the take home reading this year which will be beginning from Week 7 now that all students have their log in details. Thank you for your patience while we have been setting up each program. We are looking forward to using the devices in our learning experiences this year!
