Awards

Congratulations to all the students who received awards for all their excellent work at school. Well done!

Covid

COVIDSafe measures have changed but all Victorian government schools are required to continue to implement important practices to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

At Launch we are getting a number of COVID cases through the school. If your child tests positive, It is important to inform the school if your child has Covid. It is recommended that they stay at home for 5 days. Students at school that have flu like symptoms will be sent to the sickbay and parents will be asked to pick them up.

Staff also have the same rules and are not to be at school if they have flu like symptoms.  We do want to keep everyone as safe as possible so that the least amount of people have to stay away from school through the current flu season.

Thank you to our school community .

If you have any questions or you’re unsure, please don’t hesitate to call the school office on 59647783.

Ambulance Visit

P-2’s have been looking at their community in Integrated Studies. As part of this unit, we are looking at people in the community who help us. Today we got to talk about how paramedics can help us when we’re sick and we got to look in the back of the ambulance.

This week the P-2s have been lucky to have the police and CFA out to do an education session with all grades. Both were very informative and we loved checking out the police car and holding the hose. Thanks Miss Mackie for organising.

Attendance

Unexplained absent Letters have gone home to parents this week. Please ensure to complete reason so they can be transferred over and updated onto your child's attendance records.

Thank you for your assistance.

Heat Kids

Our whole school participated in an incursion today. Heat Kids is a program specifically designed to suit Junior school children from Prep through to Grade 6. Activities are extremely interactive where the children will plan and overcome numerous fun firefighter themed challenges.

We tailor incursions to suit the curriculum’s themes including but not exclusive to community, resilience, teamwork, belonging, health & lifestyle, diversity & tolerance, effective communication & leadership tools, sustainability & the environment.

All our activities are designed around the Firefighter’s ethos of teamwork, camaraderie and hard work. Being kind, helpful, inclusive and never leaving your mates behind.
