Our SAC meets termly and is here to represent the parent community. Please contact them if you wish to bring something to the attention of the Council or to discuss your ideas or thoughts about ways to add to our community.

Chairperson's Report

It’s been nearly six months since the last time I corresponded with the St Michaels community, with nearly 2 terms having been completed already.

Some of the highlights over the last 6 months have been:

School and classes are back to normal without any interruptions. Great to see camps and excursions are back for students to enjoy.
The AGM was held in term 1, with financials and student body numbers all above expectations.
A number of new staff have joined St Michaels and have settled in extremely well.
The new building was delivered and is providing great learning spaces for students and teachers alike. The re-introduction of the sand pit has been an absolute hit for the kids. And the new mural completed by Aboriginal artist Merindah-Gunya is a wonderful additional feature.
The P and F group has come together a number of times already this year. The group has already provided some lovely morning coffees for parents, end of term sausage sizzle, mother’s day stall and morning tea, just to name a few. A big thank you to all that have been involved to bring those events together. Stayed tuned for many more functions throughout the rest of the year.

I hope the rest of term 2 is enjoyable and not too hectic for everyone.
