Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

We started the week off with what was believed to be a snake sighting on the oval. There was great excitement in the school and particularly at assembly. A snake catcher was called and a teacher was left to guard the snake's whereabouts. When the snake catcher arrived, amongst great anticipation of seeing this 'huge' snake get caught, it was a major let down as a gecko was produced.

Year 4 's are off to camp this week ( Mon, Tues and Wed) and they are very excited and looking forward to all the adventures camp has to offer. Mrs Stefanec and myself will be attending and Mrs Barron will be in charge of the school.

 Cross Country - Regional

Good luck to the 14 students who will be representing St Louis' at the Regional Cross Country on Tuesday. Mr Andrew will attending this event.

Year 4 First Eucharist

Please remember in your prayers our Year 4 students (4GY & 4 MP) who will be receiving their First Communion on Sunday. It is a very special occasion for these students and a huge step in their faith journey.

Opening of the School Administration Building

This week we celebrated the Opening of the new Administration building. Father Andrew blessed the building, Mr Tim Richardson -State Minister for Mordialloc and Mr Bill Tabourlos - chairperson of St Louis School Advisory Council both gave wonderful speeches. We had representatives from MACS, Crosier Scott Architects, Baxter building Company, St Louis Parents and Friends, St Louis School Advisory Council, our Administration and Leadership teams, our school captains, year 6 choir and 8 prep students.

It was a lovely ceremony and celebration. I have included Bill's speech in this newsletter.

Junior Lord Mayor

Congratulations to our team who represented St Louis at the Junior Lord Mayor presentations at Moorabbin Town Hall.  Our head speaker Milla and her support team Hugh, Lara, Chloe and Charlie did an amazing presentation and made us all very proud.

Medical Forms.

All students who require medication for short or long term application, must have a medication form filled in by a parent and signed by a GP or Pharmacists. This form needs to be handed into the office and classroom teachers cannot give any medication to students.

Enjoy your weekend
