OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Loving God,

speak to each one of us in your still small voice, and grant us your peace which passes understanding, that quiet confidence which only you can bring, and so may our burdens be lifted and our souls refreshed.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

We pray ...

for all students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation, and for all who are unwell or in hospital.

LITURGY NEWS

On Wednesday 21st September an Infants Liturgy will be held at St Nicholas Church beginning at 9.30am. We invite all of our parents, families and friends to attend.

FAMILY MASS

Thank you to all the families who attended our family mass last Sunday and gathered afterwards to share in a morning tea. A big thank you to Fr Chris for celebrating this Mass with us.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION - YEAR 6

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Kennedy in our St Nicholas Parish this Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September.

Confirmation Retreat

Tomorrow Year 6 students and staff will participate in the Confirmation Retreat Day at St Nicholas School in the library. Throughout the day the students will be joined by Year 11 McCarthy students, St Nicholas Parishioners and Bishop Michael Kennedy. This Retreat is an opportunity for students to pray, reflect, share stories and experiences and take stock of their faith journey with peers and adults alike. The Bishop will speak with the students in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students are reminded that they are to wear their winter uniform.

A reminder that the Confirmation candidates are required to attend Reconciliation on Thursday 8th September beginning at 5.30pm at St Nicholas Church. If the candidate is unable to attend they will need to make themselves available to attend the Reconciliation on Saturday 10th September between 4.00pm-5.00pm at St Nicholas Church.

Please keep our Confirmation Candidates in your prayers.
