Fathers Day Breakfast!
On Wednesday the 31st of August, Wonga Park had their Fathers' Day Breakfast. We got to have toasties from the ‘CHEER’ Toasties Truck, hot drinks for Via Cucina coffee van and juices for the kids. Everyone enjoyed eating with their Dad or a special person. The music set a fun vibe which made the breakfast twice as fun. The Dads were catching up and mums were making it easy for the Dads to have a great time by cooking and preparing the delicious food.
Expressions!
Expressions have started! All the students have been absolutely loving the first handful of activities! Terri ran planks, it was super fun because it was all about maths and geometry. Ms Storey ran Calligraphy. Calligraphy is a type of art. It makes letters look interestingly cool. Everyone enjoyed their expressions, and there’s still much more happening.
We had a lot of fun interviewing our newest member of staff. Here's what what we found out.
Teacher Profile
Hi everyone! I’m Rachel Barnes and I’m very excited to be the Year 1A teacher, replacing Erin Danks, who is now on maternity leave.
I have had a range of teaching experiences that include working in a behaviour support unit in London, teaching most of the primary year levels, Physical Education teacher, literacy intervention and most recently an Acting Assistant Principal role.
I have had a wonderful start at Wonga Park and want to thank the students, staff, families and wider community who have made me feel very welcome. I’m really looking forward to the next chapter in my teaching career at Wonga Park!
