The Nude Food Challenge
The nude food challenge is currently happening in our school community, and will be held until the 9th of September. The nude food challenge is a challenge where students are asked to bring no plastic waste in their lunchboxes to school, and our aim for this is to be free of litter in our community's environment. Students are encouraged to bring their snacks to school in reusable containers to prevent damage to our beautiful foliage that grows in the school. Please encourage students to bring their food in waste free containers. It is amazing to see so much enthusiasm for their Nude Food lunch boxes and the pride the students are showing when discussing how they have managed to produce lunch boxes without any wrappers. There is always room for improvement however, and we will continue to remind everyone to bring in Nude Food, or place all wrappers either back in their lunch boxes or placed in the soft plastics recycling bags in each grade.

We've been using bags to put in our soft plastics so that not so much plastic is going to landfill. - Maia Grade 3
Food waste
We are still looking for small containers so that each class can recycle their food waste either to the chickens or to the composting system. If you have any spare empty yoghurt or honey tubs (the big ones), we would love to use them.
