Hoop Time update

Communication from Basketball Victoria:

We love Hoop Time, the 500-plus schools and 55,000 participants who enjoy playing the game across hundreds of daytime events every year. 

However, we currently face a severe referee shortage across Victoria, which is affecting both day and night-time competitions and events. 

While we do acknowledge the resource shortage, we intend to continue to work with local associations, schools and the basketball community to try and reactivate as many Hoop Time events as possible for the remainder of Term 3 and the conclusion of 2022. 

We are communicating with school district coordinators and schools on the calendar of Hoop Time events. 

We will attempt to accommodate any school registered to compete in a Hoop Time events.
