Book Week at OLF

Book Week Celebrations

Thursday, 25th August - What an amazing day, today the OLF community was invited to attend our Book Week Extravaganza. The day started with a Book Week parade on the playground, where students grooved their way around showcasing their costumes. This was followed by parents and carers being invited into the classrooms and library to view the children's hard work. Parents and Grandparents bought a picnic lunch and blanket along, and enjoyed a picnic with their children on Burns Paddock and Fatima Forum. During morning tea, some of our talented artists drew their imaginative creatures with chalk on the playground. To finish our celebrations, there was a Book Week performance that many students participated in including actors, the choir and the dance ensemble.

Well done to everyone, it was a fabulous day, so much effort went into the day and of course all the costumes too, everyone looked amazing!

We enjoyed celebrating the world of books!
