Primary School News

Mr Liam Beatty, Head of Primary School

Dear Primary Families,

As we journey through Week 8 of Term 3, we continue to focus on the Marist Characteristic of Presence. This core characteristic is explained simply in the Marist publication, Water From The Rock.

Today, those of us who follow in the footsteps of Marcellin and his first disciples are seized by their same inner dynamism. We develop a way of being, love and doing, in the spirit of our origins. Gradually, day by day, we deepen our experiences of the loving presence of God within ourselves and in others. This presence of God is a profound experience of being personally loved by God, and the conviction that he is close to us in our daily human experiences. (WFR #16).

As Marist educators, it is our hope that the boys in our school community will continue to deepen their relationship with God through their time at the College.

Furthermore, we continue to remind the boys of the importance of being a positive presence to each other each day. Through their interactions with each other, our boys have a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of their peers on a daily basis.

Fathers’ Day

I would like to take the opportunity to wish all the fathers and father figures in our community a very happy Fathers’ Day for Sunday. May this also be a time for us to stop and remember the fathers in our community who are no longer with us.
