VCE  Recital

On Thursday evening, the VCE Music students performed their pieces for their performance SAC to a wonderful audience I n the music Centre. 

The students performed well and it is exciting to see how they are progressing in preparation for their end of year repertoire and building their program. 

Huge thanks to Miss Clark, Mr. Muddyman and Mr. Beauglehall for their assistance with the night and thank you to the tech crew for all their work on what was a lovely evening. 

Strings Soiree

The Strings students are hosting their annual Soiree as a way to perform the pieces they have been working on during the first part of the year. 

This is a great chance to come along and support the students and their musical endeavours as they play pieces in their groups and showcase their hard work. 

The concert  is free and will be held in the Music Centre on Thursday 8th June. 

All are welcome. 

VSMF Concert

The students are working hard a rehearsals for their upcoming dates at the Victorian Schools Music Festival held at Hawthorn Town Hall. 

Students will perform in front of other schools and receive some constructive feedback via a workshop with a facilitator on the day. 

Concert Band - Wednesday, 23rd August (1:30 - 4:00 session)

Symphonic Band - Thursday, 24th August (9:30 - 11:15 session)

Strings Orchestra has been placed on a waitlist. 

Contemporary Concert

Students involved in the Contemporary Music Program at Vermont will have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience of year 7 students during period 3 on Tuesday, 20th of June as part of the Community Focus Day. 

We request that all students involved in the performances meet Mr. McGuffie in the Music Centre at the beginning of recess to assist with setting up equipment before and after the concert. 

Music Support Group Sausage Sizzle

The weekly sausage sizzles are running again throughout this and next term. We are seeking any parent volunteers who are interested in assisting with the cooking or selling the sausages. They will run every week on Fridays at recess.

All funds raised will go towards our Instrumental Music Program and be used for the maintenance of our instruments.

A sausage in bread with onions is $3 each. (cash only).
