From the Principal

Ms Noelene Hussey

Dear Families

Congratulations to our Year 6 children who all had an amazing experience at camp Rumbug in South Gippsland last week. They had lots of fun flying through the air on the flying fox, canoeing on the lake, swinging on the big swing and getting dirty on the mud run. What impressed me about the children was the way they supported one another, worked as a team and took a risk to join in on all activities.The staff who went to camp were very proud of the children and the way they behaved, followed instructions but most importantly, they were very grateful for the experiences they were able to share together as a Year 6 team.

Thanks to the staff who attended - Katie Pollard, Kayla Wilson, Alison BK, Monique McIntyre, Leanne Miller, Leona Dean, Fiona Brugaletta, Cath Woodhouse and Greg Lane. Their support of the children was amazing and meant they all had a wonderful experience being away from home and school.

On Tuesday 30th of May eight super cross country runners represented St Anne's at the Woodlands and Whittlesea Division Cross Country at Kilmore Race Track. Luckily no horses were running on the track that day. The following eight students put in an amazing effort, William R, Leo W, Myles K, Ben R, Carter R, Ebony M, Andrew W and Matthew H.

Ebony M finished first in her race, going through to the next round together with William, Leo, Myles and Matthew all qualifying for the regional event coming up soon on Wednesday June 14th. We wish them all the best !

Positive Behaviour For Learning - PBL

We continue to focus on being responsible which means we will be playing safely with our friends.

All our children have a right to feel safe, have a voice, have access to modern resources and be treated fairly by their friends.

Therefore we teach our children that with every right or privilege there is a responsibility. The following are what you can also talk to our children at home;

We have a right to a safe environment - we have a responsibility to follow safety rules

We have a right to voice our opinions - we have a responsibility to respect the opinions of others

We have the right to use our resources at school - we have the responsibility to take care of all our school property

We have the right to be treated fairly by others - we have the responsibility to treat others fairly

We have the right to learn - we have the responsibility to try our best and follow our teachers directions.

God Bless
