Urban Harvest Community Group

This week our Urban Harvest Community group began their partnership with the Lalor Community Gardens group. 

Our students will be responsible for growing and harvesting winter vegetables we can donate to local food shares who will use it to cook hearty meals for people in need or to donate to local people in need of fresh vegetables. 

Students are learning valuable skills of teamwork, planning and organising, commitment to a task and working with diverse people. 

Their interpersonal skill development through the opportunity to work with the older people at the Lalor Community Gardens group is evident and something that will continue as we progress through this term. 

A big shoutout to Zac Foxwell, Joshua Talevski, Joey Wang and Malachi Clarkson who worked hard and achieved great results this week.
