Uniform reminders

As we are entering the winter months we have reminded students about the uniform requirements. Please ensure that your child is wearing formal uniform to school as required, which is not to be mixed with elements of the sports uniform. This week in the Secondary School we have spent time reminding students who choose to wear a skirt that the skirt is not to be shorter than 5 cm above the crease at the back of the knee. Of course, pants and shorts remain an option for all students. I welcome student feedback about our uniform and was heartened to meet with some students yesterday who shared their feedback with me.

Health reminder

We encourage students to take care of their physical, mental and spiritual health throughout the year and we have supports for this available through our teaching in classrooms along with our Chaplain, Counsellor and Nurses. Recently we have noticed an increase in sickness amongst students, which is shared all too quickly if students are at school with colds or bugs. Please respect the health of all members of our school community and keep children at home if they are not well. If there is anything we can do to support your child while they are at home, please let your child's class teacher, homeroom teacher or Head of House know.
