From the Chaplain

This Tuesday I held a Pastor’s Prayer Breakfast. We first shared a breakfast of ham and cheese croissants, fruit and tea or coffee. Mr Sawle then spoke to the Pastors about how the school was founded 25 years ago by a committee of four people who wanted to start a Christian School for the local and farming students. It started in Mount Melville with 36 students and the following year moved to Kalgan.

We had a time of prayer at the end and prayed for the students, staff and Albany community. We really want people to encounter the real Jesus and his love for them. I was very grateful to have the support of these Pastors, as being the only chaplain at the school is not easy. I really value their knowledge, their prayers and their support. We realised that we should meet more often and it reminded me of the bible verse that says we should encourage one another by meeting regularly and spurring one another on to keep going.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  Hebrews 10:24-25

Life can get very busy, especially when you work and have kids to drive around. We often start to see less of others because we are so busy. We need to remember to take time out to see others for support, advice and encouragement.
