3A - Inquiry

By Stacey Cupo

This Term, our Inquiry Question is ‘How are living things dependent on each other?’ 3A have been exploring different types of gum trees, and which animals depend on them to survive. They have been discovering a variety of animals and their habitats, life cycles and dependencies. During Education Week, 3A designed and created a diorama that showcased a dependency of some sort and wrote an Information Report that connected with their creation!

Harley: I made a gum tree and included animals that depend on it to survive! Animals like koalas, ants and bees.

Yug: I created a tree showing that it is giving a human oxygen. Oxygen is a part of the periodic table!

Thinuli: My diorama is showing that butterflies are depending on a lot in their habitat. They need a lot of things like the sweet nectar from flowers and the grass to make sap!
