Wellbeing and Mental Health

Building a Culture of Respect and Equality

At TPS, we take a whole-school approach to embedding a culture of respect and equality across our entire school, from our classrooms to staffroom, playground, sporting events and community celebrations. This approach leads to positive impacts on students’ learning, their mental health, classroom behaviour and relationships between teachers and students.

The Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationship curriculum is just one of the ways that we are building a culture of respect and equality across the school. At TPS, we also promote gender equality through celebrating diversity, learning about and marking a range of special days across the year, encouraging gender inclusive language and providing information on mental health and wellbeing through our school newsletter.

This week we would like to highlight some excellent services that support the LGBTIQA+ community.
