Getting to know Donna (Ms Meaghan)

Chances are you have exchanged hello's or have received assistance from Donna (Ms Meaghan) at our reception but did you know that she also has another string to her bow at JPII... a very creative bow!

Let's get to know Donna

Name: Donna Meaghan

1. Position: Communications Officer/Administration

2. How do you like to spend your spare time?

My favourite place is at the beach year round in the water, catching waves with friends or just being around the water somewhere. I love to spend time with my little family Justin and our two young children whether it's outdoors, at their sports or just doing daily life with them.  I really don't like thick winter wetsuits but you got to do what you got to do (ha)!

3. How long have you worked at JPII?

4 years

5. What are your unique attributes that you bring to the JPII team/community?

I am a pretty positive, caring and creative person and I am very grateful that at JPII I can be just be myself everyday and feel purposeful.

6.  Favourite part of working in your position at JPII?

I really enjoy working at JPII.  The never ending energy and effervescence of the students is gold and great to be around. I love all the chats I have with students and families at reception and helping anyone who needs a hand.  The colleagues I work with are beautiful, kind and supportive and I really look forward to coming to work every day and being part of a really lovely learning, and caring environment.  I really like that our school is not too little and not too big (just like the Three Bear Story) and that we can get to know our students and families really well. I also get to use my graphic design skills at JPII which is a bonus!

7. Tell us about your communication work at JPII?

A part of my role at JPII is to communicate all the wonderful stories, events, achievements and the beautiful random moments that catch my eye at JPII to share with the community. It's such a great school and is such a privilege to showcase who we are and what we do.  I have been a Graphic Designer for 20 years now and working at JPII has definitely been one of my favourite places to be a Creative because of the diverse range of projects I get to do -  there is always so much happening here and great energy.

8.  Any last word before the school bell goes............?

I am loving seeing our beautiful school continue to shine brighter and brighter. I am really looking forward to the opening of the lunch program (as a parent I have lunch program envy (laughs)!!)  and for the new multipurpose hall to open. What a game changer for P.E., arts and music for our students!

Lastly, live mindfully and create fun and memorable moments together.
