National Simultaneous Storytime

On Wednesday, the students participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. Now in its 23nd successful year, The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young, was chosen.
The students thoroughly enjoyed reading the story together.
"I liked it when the sloth won."
"I liked it when the sloth ate spaghetti for dinner."
"I liked it even though the sloth didn't win the race.'
"The sloth thought that she had won the race."
"I like Spike the Sloth."
The story shares an important message:
That even when we don't win, we are still winners if we try our best.
