Welcome to Mount Beauty Secondary College.  Are you ready for your first official “grilling”?

2021

Where have you previously taught?

I have spent a majority of my teaching in primary schools.

Where are you from?

I grew up at Staghorn Flat

Why study Alpine Studies?

So students are aware of the importance of alpine environments and issues this environment is facing.

What is it about teaching that inspires you?

Seeing improvement in students and seeing them demonstrate their ideas in their work.

Has anyone stolen your lunch from the lunchroom?

No thankfully, I always look forward to eating my food.

Best study tips?

If you are feeling a bit tired before studying, head out for some exercise first.

Have you skied overseas?

I have skied in Canada.

Best ski run?

At Falls Creek I like going out past Ruined Castle, not sure what the run is called.

Best mtb run?

Misty Twist at Mt Buller, the descent not the climb.

Ski or mtb?

Both

Shop assistant in a 1hour photo shop.

Fish Curry

What are you reading? (book/magazine/website)

‘The Good People’ by Hannah Kent, however, I don’t think it as good as another book of hers I have read, ‘Burial Rites’

Favourite sport?

I enjoy playing and watching sport, I can’t get it down to one. I really enjoy going to watch tennis, AFL and the netball in Melbourne.

Have you ever gotten really lost? What happened?

I got on a bus in Paris without looking at bus route numbers, was hoping it would go past the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately it was going to the depot so I had to get off miles away from the middle of Paris where I was staying in.
