Our Structured Workplace Learning students are doing an amazing job representing our school and more importantly, representing themselves on their placements! Most students are over half way with some near completion of their 20 days. A select few have already been offered casual work and some have also gained an apprenticeship for next year!
All students completing VM should already be in a Work Placement one day a week. VCE students that undertake a VET subject and plan to do a placement must see Kerry and this needs to be completed over school holidays. Any VM student not currently completing a placement may not be meeting the requirements of their course. Please make time to organise this asap.
Students that are keen to try out an industry and do WORK EXPERIENCE over school holidays, can do so and must organise this and see Kerry in the Careers Office. This is also a great opportunity for those that did not complete a Year 10 Work Experience placement to do one now.
Copperfield College is very grateful to all of our employers for taking the time to host our students. This very important program ensures we are able to give our students hands on experience in the industry they are completing their certificate. It is also to further develop the skills they require for their future employment and allows them to apply their knowledge learnt in VET. This program could not run without the support of these amazing businesses.
