FR are very lucky to have Lauren Kwan Tat in our class for the rest of the term. She is in her fourth year of Education and is doing her final practicum with us. Lauren was born in Mauritius and has been in Melbourne for 6 years. She has experience in kinders and the Early Years

Toy Incursion

Students loved the toy science incursion on Tuesday. We learnt about where Matchbox cars came from, what the oldest toy is and took some of us down memory lane with other toys from the past!

Students from Foundation R & Foundation L explored a whole range of toys in their classroom and:

-Discussed different types of toys, how they are made and how they work.

-Discussed the importance of various materials in the construction of multiple toys.

-Explored the basics of push and pull forces.

-Explored the basics of light and sound.

-Communicated and discussed observations and conclusions
