Junior School Brooklyn Park

Year 3/4 Technology

As the world continues to head in a digital direction through new and emerging technologies our Year 3/4 cohort at Brooklyn Park have been engaging in computer-generated tasks, while developing their Chromebook skills and implementing simple digital solutions. 

Our Term 3 Technology unit began by engaging and discovering different virtual reality websites. We discussed and explored different virtual reality tours, including the Great Barrier Reef, the North Pole, Kathmandu, South Africa, as well as Adelaide. We also toured the Louvre Museum & National Museum of Natural History. 

Students brainstormed and planned how to effectively navigate flowcharts to enable the user to explore their tours. Students have begun planning a virtual reality tour of our Brooklyn Park campus, which will involve a computer-generated environment with multiples scenes making the user feel they are immersed in their surroundings. 

We cannot wait to see the final product and look forward to taking a virtual reality tour of our campus!
