Loddon Mallee Region Basketball Final

On Friday the 15th of July the year 11/12 Girton representative basketball team travelled to Echuca for the Loddon Mallee Regional Senior Girls Basketball Final. The day consisted of three 30-minute games with short breaks in-between. The girls game out fighting with a comprehensive win against Swan Hill College. The second game was the most difficult team we’ve faced thus far, but alongside some tough defence and some hearty teamwork we came out winners by 5 points against St Joes Echuca. By the third game, fatigue had set in but the girls dug deep winning convincingly against Mildura Senior College. As a result of these three wins, we move undefeated to the state finals at the end of the term. I would like to thank coach, Sally Hurley for her amazing efforts in supporting us. As well as Serryn Eenjes (Sports Assistant Trainee), parents and all the girls for making the effort during our school holidays. Bring on States!
