Indigenous Culture Club

Senior School students are warmly invited to join Girton's first-ever Indigenous Culture Club!

By joining this group you are showing respect to our First People and hopefully supporting their quest for constructional recognition.

We meet every Thursday at lunchtime in M01 and any Senior School students are welcome to join us. 

Come and say "Hi!" or " Woominjeka"  as they say in Taungurung Kulin language! 

We are looking at the culture and languages of various ethnicities around the world and in Australia. We will be primarily focusing on three.

We are covering the Taungurung Indigenous language in this club. Our first Australian people from east of the Campaspe River, covering all of Central northern Victoria.

We will be looking at ten different aspects during Term 3 and we hope you will join us.
